Co-Owner · Licensed Residential Contractor
Co-Owner
Gary Anglin graduated from the University of Florida with a master’s degree in Building Construction — and spent the decades that followed putting that education to work in Gainesville. He taught at UF, completed thousands of construction projects across the community, and in 1996 founded ReUser Building Products as an extension of his construction firm.
His legacy lives in the homes he built, the students he taught, and the business he seeded has now become Total Home of Florida. He now enjoys a well-earned retirement: writing short stories, painting, and still dabbling in the design work he’s always loved.
Operations & Growth · Since April 2021
Logan worked alongside John in the early ReUser years before spending nearly 13 years building her career in corporate healthcare. In 2021, she returned to Total Home with a clear purpose — streamline operations, strengthen the foundation, and help position the business for serious growth.
Like John, Logan has a genuine passion for design and construction. She loves studying floor plans and exploring what’s possible in residential building — a natural fit as Total Home steps into custom home building.
Sales & Project Specialist · Since April 2024
Greg Baughman joined the Total Home team in April 2024, and it didn’t take long for him to feel like he’d been here all along. As our Sales and Project Specialist, Greg is often the first face a customer sees — and that first impression matters. He has a natural gift for conversation and a genuine enjoyment of people that makes what can feel like an intimidating process surprisingly comfortable.
Greg listens more than he talks, asks the right questions, and takes the time to really understand what a homeowner is hoping to achieve before ever putting numbers on paper. Outside of work, Greg loves taking walks with his dog Leia — yes, named after Princess Leia — and that easygoing, down-to-earth energy is exactly what he brings into every customer interaction. If you’re just starting to explore a project and don’t know where to begin, Greg is exactly the right person to talk to.
Sales & Project Specialist · Since April 2024
When it comes to paint and drywall, Larry Finney has spent over 30 years perfecting his craft — and it shows in every wall he touches. Paint isn’t just his job, it’s his niche, and that kind of focused, lifelong expertise means he brings a level of precision and care that makes our finished projects look the way they do.
Larry has been a quiet but essential part of what makes our work stand out. Whether it’s a flawless drywall repair, a perfectly smooth texture, or clean paint lines that make a room feel brand new, Larry’s work speaks for itself. Off the job site, you’ll find him tending to his plants or keeping a close eye on his fish — and that same patience and quiet care carries right into everything he does professionally.
Lead Superintendent · Since 2010
There aren’t many people who know this community and its homes the way John Cone does. With decades of hands-on experience spanning plumbing, electrical, framing, and full home builds, John brings a rare depth of knowledge to every project he oversees. He’s been a trusted part of the Total Home family since 2010 — back when the company was still known as ReUser Building Products — and that kind of longevity says everything about his character and commitment.
As Lead Superintendent, he’s the steady presence on the job site — the person who knows what to do when something unexpected comes up, because chances are, he’s seen it before. He doesn’t just manage a job site — he takes ownership of it. When John’s running your project, you can rest easy knowing there’s someone on the ground who genuinely cares about getting it done right.
Project Management
That’s not a marketing line — it’s the standard we hold ourselves to on every job. We care deeply about the products we sell and the work we install. If we wouldn’t put it in our own home, we won’t sell it for yours.
We’ve always let our customers lead the way. When homeowners asked for more cabinet options, we sourced them. When they asked about full remodels, we built the team for it. Every service we offer today exists because someone in this community asked for it first.
Nearly 30 years in Gainesville means we’re not just a business here — we’re part of the fabric of this community. We hire locally, we invest locally, and we take genuine pride in what our neighbors’ homes look like when we’re done.
Every expansion of our business has come directly from what customers asked for. We follow your lead.
We’re homeowners too. We understand what it means to trust someone with your most valuable investment.
Whether it’s our crew or a trusted specialist on a specific scope, we manage the entire project & stand behind every outcome.
Nearly 30 years in Gainesville. This is our home too — and we treat it that way.
Our Cabinet Lines
It started with a simple instinct. Gary Anglin — University of Florida graduate with a master’s in Building Construction, longtime UF instructor, and Gainesville fixture — spent decades completing thousands of construction projects across this community. He had an eye for quality and a deep reluctance to waste it.
In 1996, he turned that instinct into a business. ReUser Building Products was born from his construction firm, giving salvaged materials a second life instead of a landfill. He started with a couple of Habitat for Humanity retirees and a warehouse full of things worth saving.
Word spread. Neighbors told neighbors. Contractors told clients. The community showed up — and kept showing up.
John Burrill had always had an entrepreneurial streak. When he crossed paths with Gary and saw what Total Home could become, he didn’t just want a job – he wanted in. The two struck a partnership, and John joined in 2005. That’s when everything changed.
He learned the operation from the ground up, took careful note of what wasn’t working, and listened closely to what customers were asking for. Then he acted on it — quickly and decisively. New all-wood cabinetry. More door and window options. Hardware. A proper showroom. One product request led to another, and the business grew to match every one of them. The team, the rebrand, the new location — John built all of it, piece by piece, always with an eye on what Total Home could become next.
Our Specialty
Gary Anglin — UF master’s in Building Construction, longtime UF instructor, and builder of thousands of Gainesville projects — founded ReUser Building Products at 622 SE 2nd Street, giving quality salvaged materials a second life instead of a landfill.
Gary — recruits John Burrill, a young, ambitious entrepreneur from Pensacola. John takes over day-to-day management and immediately begins studying what the business needs, what the community is asking for, and how to build something bigger.
Reuser expanded its inventory of B-grade and unused building materials, offering quality products at discounted prices.
ReUser Building Products becomes Total Home of Florida — a name that reflects the business it had grown into: everything a homeowner needs, all in one place.
After major renovations, Total Home moves to 904 N. Main Street — a larger, more visible location chosen to serve more of the community and room to grow.
Total Home offers full remodeling and installation services and is expanding into custom residential home building — with a licensed residential contractor on staff and a team dedicated to every project.
Historic District Expertise
Gainesville’s historic neighborhoods have strict architectural requirements — and not every window brand qualifies. We’ve been working in the Duck Pond neighborhood since 2018 and know exactly what the association requires.
We carry Andersen Windows — A brand that meets Duck Pond’s historic approval standards. You don’t have to figure any of that out. We already have.
Completely satisfied with our bathroom remodel. John, Logan & their team were awesome through the entire process. Would highly recommend!!!
— Patty C., Gainesville, Florida

Total Home of Florida was attentive and accommodating at every step of the process, even answering questions and providing services well after the home purchase. We are very happy with our new home and highly recommend their services!
